Summary
It’s like this— maybe Megumi has made mistakes in the past, errors in judgement, moved purely on impulse in a way that had a domino effect on Yuuji’s life, dragged him into a world of curses and violence. Maybe if he had the choice to go back, Megumi would be faster, smarter, make better choices and avoid every hospital in Sendai. But he can’t. What’s done is done. What he can do is be there for Yuuji now, when he needs him, so that he’d never have to look over his shoulder and find himself alone.
Just like he said he would.“Okay,” Megumi says, relaxing his hands. He places them on the tabletop in front of him like he’s got nothing to hide, and stares straight ahead at the stove. “If you need help cleaning up your undercut, I can help you trim it. If you want.”
Yuuji goes maddeningly silent for a moment, long enough for Megumi to regret even offering, until he blurts out a delighted “Really?”
Two months after Shinjuku, Megumi helps Yuuji cut his hair.

Megumi’s frown deepens. “Come here.”
Yuji cracks his eyes open, immediately regretting it, feeling a wave of pain shoot behind his eyelids. “What?” He asks with strain, gazing at Megumi through half-lidded eyes.
“Just trust me. Come here,” Megumi instructs again, his voice still soft and gentle. Yuji doesn’t protest and slowly shuffles a little closer to Megumi’s lap, wincing at the movement despite his attempt not to worsen his already throbbing head.
Yuji has a headache. Megumi knows a way to make him feel just a little bit better.

Smooth. Very smooth. Megumi managed to phrase that so badly that the whole point was lost. He wanted to bang his head against the wall.
"See it... alone?" Yuuji said slowly.
"No!" Megumi said, a little too loudly.
He flinched, and took a deep breath.
"I mean," he said, trying to regain his composure. "I'll come with you. If... if you want. Not because I want to see the movie or anything, but I just figured it would be fun to hang out or whatever. Not that I was going to invite you to come along or anything. You can do whatever you want. It's your birthday. I'm not forcing you. I don't care."

“I prefer devil’s food cake myself,” Crowley drawls, tipping his glass of champagne up towards his lips. He swallows a sip and flicks his eyebrows up at Aziraphale. A smirk lurks behind the edge of his glass.
A low chuckle comes from Aziraphale, and he turns that smile to Crowley. “Of course you do,” he says, not unkindly. His fingers curl around the end of the fork and he raises it ever so slightly from the napkin. “I’m hardly surprised by that.”

“You're joking.” Megumi shook his head as he stretched wide; a yawn escaping his lips as Yuuji tossed him the roll of athletic tape. Without thinking, he started winding the tape around his bare hands, feeling its tackiness sent a shiver down his spine.

Megumi looks away, unable to bear the expression Itadori is wearing. He wants to send Itadori away, say he’s fine and he can bathe himself, thank you very much. Because he could, and he would be fine. His limbs still ache, but the tightness could be from his two day-long nap. He’s faced worse, and afterwards, he cleaned himself up all alone.
But, he thinks, maybe Itadori needs to help him more than Megumi needs his help. Maybe Megumi is selfish, and he wants to cling to every precious moment the two of them have left.
He swallows thickly. “Help might be nice.”

Itadori is hiding from his team the fact that he's hard of hearing out of fear of being treated differently. When Fushiguro reveals that he knows, they find their bond changing into something it wasn't before. It takes a rude awakening from Kugisaki to realize that maybe they are more than friends.
A little implied past ableism, character struggles with being disabled. Written from experience.
The technical portions of how curses and stuff work aren't entirely accurate.
Generally happy, I don't write angst. Happy and joyful itafushi! They are both not very smart.

“Oh,” Satoru mumbles. “Like a migraine.”
It wasn’t a question, but Tsumiki shrugs and answers, “I don’t know. I thought only adults could get those.”
Satoru looks towards Megumi. He thinks of the hours he’s spent in the exact same predicament, memories stretching as far back as his mind will allow. He has yet to determine whether his recurring migraines are a side effect of his cursed technique or an entirely separate phenomenon, but he’s stopped caring about the semantics at this point. The cause doesn’t matter much when the blinding pain behind his eyes settles in, rendering him unable to do much apart from hide away and wait it out.
“Kids can get migraines too,” he assures Tsumiki. “I get them sometimes, and I have for as long as I can remember.”
or: megumi has a migraine. luckily, that's the one thing gojo has prior experience dealing with.
