Wind Archer would sigh, resting his bow along the crook of his arm and crossing his arms. “As I've learned to expect of me and you. You as a pesterance and I who've learnt to long for it.” Wind Archer would pause, a small smile adorning his face and softening the gaze of his eyes. “Hello Fire Spirit. What brings you to the Dessert Paradise?” He asked, tilting his head for visual inquiry.
Also known as: Fire Spirit is not-so-secretly pining for Wind Archer and it takes him 4k plus words to realize that.

In the midst of the usual routine of this humble scholar, The Sage of Truth, it had somehow escaped his notice how the sky had darkened once more. He'd just gotten so caught up in giving a little pop-quiz to his last little truth seeker of the day!
Gripping his key-shaped staff, he found himself turning in the same direction he always does. The Truthless Recluse always arrived in same way from the same direction. A leisurely stroll through the worries of the townsfolk, and west. “Apologizes, apologies! Do accept my apologies!” The Sage swore to, twirling his staff at his side. “I was not expecting a visit from you this casual evening.”

Everyone has a soulmate. A black mark will appear somewhere on your body the moment your soulmate is alive.
This did not apply to Scott Goldsmith. Hundreds of years ago he and fellow vampires would giggle and talk about soulmates and spending eternity with them, but he didn’t have a mark. This didn’t upset him, he’s never needed a soulmate to have fun.
Then he wakes up after a six hundred year slumber and soulmates are very rare, almost a myth now to humans.
And on Scott’s neck now lies a mark in the shape of a black rose.
In other words, Scott and Avid are soulmates. What could possibly happen when one of them find out about this OBVIOUS mistake?
