Footsteps. More than one set, all in work boots that thudded against the floor as they came closer. There was the sound of guns cocking. Sam watched as one, two, three, four people came into his vision. Two men, two women, all armed.
Somehow, he already knew. They were hunters.
They were getting revenge.
“Sam Winchester,” one of the women said, as if he was some household name. “Who would have thought one of John’s boys would go rogue? The irony is just–”
She stepped closer, inches away from his face.
“Killing me,” she sneered.
