Summary
We all struggle against the things that make us be someone we are not. What about when the odds are against us? What about when living as who we are becomes impossible?
It gets buried deep, it's not something we are allowed to change, as that is what the world demands. Yet it's a painful story told millions of times, and that pain is never brought to light. Tommy is no exception.
Even if the things holding him back manifest a little... differently than your average person's.
Or
Tommy is an NPC in a video game called SoulTrap. There's more to this world than meets the players eyes however, and it could prove too be two worlds undoing if it goes unnoticed any longer

Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.
