Adam looked Ronan over then, scrutinizing. Ronan smoothed his face to blaize uncaring, which was an easy look to put on. It was one of his well-practiced masks
“You don’t have something to say about that? Everyone always has something to say about that.”
A few years ago, Ronan would’ve taken that bait, but it wasn’t a few years ago.
“It’s your life, man.”
Something shifted in Adam’s expression. Under all the caginess a spark of warmth. Ronan had passed a test.

The world has been saved from the apocalypse but greed towards formidable weapons is quick to return. The Shatterdome will have to brace for the impact and find a way to counter the threat even before fully understanding it.
A story of shattered people, scarred families and found families. A story about what you stand for, when destruction comes from the shadows. Beyond saving the world, this is a story about finding your place in it.

“Yes, you’re in a hospital. Isn’t that strange?” Gansey sniped back. “Dr. Parrish, this is Ronan Lynch, the bane of my existence. Ronan, this is Dr. Parrish. You’ll be under his care while I’m in surgeries, he’ll have some other responsibilities, but he’s going to try and figure out what’s wrong with you.”
“Nothing’s wrong with me,” Ronan grumbled.
“Is that why you’re wearing that gown then?” Adam quipped."
Adam is a surgical intern at Cabeswater General Hospital, just trying to get enough sleep and maybe get some time in the OR. When Gansey suggests he should work on connecting with patients, he introduces him to firefighter, Ronan Lynch, and his feels his world start to shift, maybe just a little bit.

Andrew isn’t looking at him. Instead, he’s perched on the edge of the building, wings arced behind him as he gazes out at the campus. There’s something free about him that Neil has missed. A pure wildness and an untouchable distance that tells the world that Andrew has witnessed worse than this and that he will not be broken.
At the moment, Neil envies him. While he’s witnessed worse, he still feels perilously close to breaking.
OR
Andrew and Neil are still an angel and demon respectively, and it's about time that meant something (they keep playing Exy, of course).
