He looked at Pete, not blinking, eyes fixed on the clouds rolling above them. This close, he could see little bruises blooming around his mouth and nose from where Andy had gripped him too hard, and dry blood on his cheek, right underneath an ugly looking graze. Mikey hadn’t looked in a mirror, but based on the way his face hurt when he spoke, he guessed he looked in a similar shape.
“What, like, this is some kind of heaven?”
Pete shrugged. “I don’t know, I just. How did we get here?”
“The bus crashed,”
“On a tropical island?”
“I don’t know, man. I guess,”
“We’re not dead,”
They turned around together. Andy was staring at them, holding a backpack in his hands. Mikey didn’t recognise it.
“Now come on,” He continued. “Stop being dramatic and help me,” "Following a freak bus accident, Fall Out Boy and MCR find themselves on a mysterious island. Somehow, in between running from monsters in the jungle, foraging to survive, and fixing a computer to help them save the world, they still find the time to get a little gay with it.

Here’s the thing about Pete: He is a mistake from Patrick’s past that he can’t stop making, a bad habit he just can’t kick. There was a time, way back when, that Patrick really believed that Pete was the key to all his dreams and he believed, however unwillingly, that Pete saw him as the key to his. Those times are long in the past.
Now, Pete isn’t the boy who wants to conquer the world with Patrick’s voice—he’s the man he meets once a year, give or take, when he comes home for Christmas, and fucks, hot and desperate and hungry. Nothing deep, nothing meaningful, but nonetheless inevitable.

Kaz Brekker is a monster by myth only. But his plan to take control of Ketterdam has been stalled since he was seventeen. Now, at 20 years old, he's starting to think that maybe it's time to move on from the grudges he's been nurturing since his youth. Maybe it's time to move on from everything.

It had been over a year since Inej Ghafa last set foot in Ketterdam.
A long, bitter year, but that was fine. She was living her life, bringing down the vengeance of the Saints upon any bastard who thought selling people for a profit was a good idea.
No, she was out there on the open sea, free and doing good for whatever little it did. (It did much more than a little.) And Kaz was doing just fine, thank you- in fact, better than fine would be more accurate. The Dregs was, by far, the most powerful gang in the Barrel, and he was still richer than he could ever dream.
Dirtyhands had everything he had ever wanted and more.
Kaz only wanted one thing- one holy, unattainable thing. Not thing. Person.

Its been almost two years since Kaz first gifted Inej her ship, and a little over one year since he royally fucked up their relationship. He hasn't seen her since- not that he was waiting for her. He had more important plans to work on.
Unfortunately, what he didn't plan on was catching something that he couldn't talk himself out of.
