This is a slow romance. A story of intrigue, investigation, depression, and hope. NSFW for violence, minimal to no sex.
Years after the Noxus invasion, the enforcers and the council have a shake up. Policies are enacted to liberalize the two cities in a series of ‘Twin City’ policies. Social services show up in the undercity. Trees grow on Zaun street corners. Shimmer finds very valuable usefulness in common pharmaceuticals. All is not well, however: the new chief of the enforcers, Gordon Lancer, is left with a heavy burden of finding Zauns holdout villains. He ends up uncovering a cruel takeover plot by a wealthy family and follows the leftovers of a psychopathic murderer. He relies on the aide of a vigilante names Ekko, who lost a sense of place and purpose after the dissolution of the firelights. Ekko finds ways to help his people, but he’s transfixed on an idea he can’t shake- one that haunts his dreams and deflates his heart. This story covers the events of Arcane after season 2, following Ekko and Gordon through a time of reconstruction.
