Shouta turned it over with a deep frown.
Midoriya Izuku.
Shouta carefully picked it up, pressing the phone to his ear with a drawn-out, wary, “Hello?”
There was cackling on the other end—wild, breathless, completely unrestrained laughter spilled through the speaker, loud enough that Shouta instinctively pulled the phone away from his ear to stare at it in alarm.“Sen—” Midoriya wheezed, dissolving into another fit of hysterics. “Woah—okay—come on out! Come—you’re—”
Shouta sat up immediately.
“Where are you?”
“Having a beer! Or—” Midoriya snorted loudly into the phone. “Like—jeez, how many have I had?”
There was a muffled voice in the background that Shouta couldn’t quite make out, followed by another burst of laughter from Midoriya that sounded dangerously like he was about to fall off a chair. Shouta pinched the bridge of his nose, a headache already blooming behind his eyes.
“You’re drunk.”

Through this, he learns what it means to help give someone a second chance at life.
To Katsuki, he’s never had the luxury of pondering what it means to be “human.” Sold off to traffickers as a young pup after his parents’ deaths, the Alpha spends every waking moment fighting for survival, refusing to let them take what leftover, pathetic scraps of himself he’s managed to safeguard. Taking his chances to live with Denim Douche (at least until he can make a break for it), he finds that maybe—just maybe—he’s worthy of these things called "family" and “love."

There are undeniable nerves churning in Hitoshi's gut. He let Katsuki decide their first scene, mostly because he's still not certain what Katsuki is comfortable with and what not, despite the required reading he had to do and this just seemed safer.
For whom, he's not quite sure, because Hitoshi fears that he would have psyched himself out of a scene if he had enough time to do so, simply out of fear that it doesn't work, that they are not compatible, that neither of them get what they want from it and that their relationship is going to crumble right there in front of him, one measly scene enough to ruin the best thing he ever had.
So, it was much easier to have Katsuki do the planning and then simply trust in him, which is easy.
Trusting Katsuki is something that almost comes instinctually to Hitoshi these days.

“You chose this.” Izuku responds where he’s curled up against Shouto’s chest, his head tucked under the bigger man’s chin. “Mm.” Those lips suddenly find his throat, Midoriya pressing a few quick kisses across his skin, trailing down to Shouto’s collar. Then he tucks his face into his sternum, between his pecs. Nuzzles there. “A few more minutes.”
