It does, but not before Mark catches bits of a conversation in Jisung’s hushed tone. He hears the words broke up and asked me but Jisung must have a sixth sense for when Mark is near, because he looks over his shoulder from where he sits on his bed and then gets up, stretching his lips into something that might resemble a smile if it wasn’t so rigid. He shuts the door in Mark’s face like a moody fifteen-year-old and Mark just stands there, already feeling himself regressing, trying to calm the old, familiar hurricane that roils to life.
Home has two sides: when Jisung liked him and when he didn’t anymore.

jisung has never been a “kid person”. other people his age, they just seemed to love kids and, well, he didn’t.
it’s not like he hated kids, don’t get him wrong. they can be pretty chill, he supposes, so long as he’s not left alone with them while they stare at him expecting him to-
well.
that’s just the thing jisung has with kids.
he doesn’t know what they want from him. they talk at him, they just stare, they watch peppa pig and generally just kinda make a mess everywhere they go and it just makes jisung feel awkward.
what is he supposed to do? what is he supposed to say? he’s just not sure and kids just seem to read his mind and know he’s feeling anxious because for some reason they flock to him like little sheep.
so, yeah, jisung’s not really a “kid person”, but somehow he really picked the short end of the stick this time because why the fuck is there a baby sleeping on his fucking doorstep?
