Summary
Satoru's sitting on the exam table, stretching his leg out with a resistance band, but he stops mid-extension to blind Suguru with an expression of pure adoration. His sunglasses are wonky, and he pokes his tongue out in greeting. He looks well-rested today, softened at the edges. Unburdened and boyish.
“Suguru,” he coos, making grabby hands. His whims are a riptide; Suguru is standing between his knees before he even knows how he got there. Satoru pushes his sweat-slicked hair back from his face and sharply pinches the hollows of his cheeks. “You look so tired. Is it the heat? You know, we were just talking about you.”
Suguru blinks stupidly. “You were?”
“Yeah,” Shoko says, a pipette in her hand. She carefully deposits a single drop into one of the test tubes, and the cursed blood fizzes. “You look fucking awful.”

“Come on, let’s get this over with,” Satoru yawned, rolling out of the open car door.
It took a while, but eventually they felt the curse’s presence. It felt strong. Weaving in between the pews, they should’ve seen it by now.
“Forgive me,” a cacophony of voices cried, over and over again. Some weeping, some shouting, some young, some old. And then Suguru’s vision went black.
OR
Suguru gets Satoru sick and both of them struggle with it a bit. Caretaking Fluff ensues. (Reading part 1 would definitely help, but probably isn't totally necessary!)

It's winter, and feelings of trepidation are oozing from the streets. As a result, Satoru has been sent out more frequently for assignments due to the up in Curse numbers, and it's not doing him any good at all. The silence he is sentenced to while by himself searching for these monsters like a cruel game of hide-and-seek leaves him with more time in his mind, and brings out the absolute worst in his thoughts.
It's Suguru who first learns of the problems that develop from such an occasion, and it's Yaga who has to deal with it.

Satoru Gojo is, in a word, infuriating. He's that rare type of person who makes Suguru think "Fuck you. God's not supposed to play favorites."
He's powerful enough to earn the respect of all of their seniors and good-looking in a way that makes people stop on the street and stare as they pass by.
Suguru wants to believe he's just lucky — born lucky and beautiful and rich — but he comes to find that Satoru Gojo is also fucking brilliant in a way that even Suguru, resentful of God’s favorite, is drawn to with awe.

Gojo stared at the road yet again, focusing on the dotted line ahead of him. There was a gap in his vision, a part of the yellow line he couldn’t quite see. Satoru set his jaw, half in irritation. He really didn’t have time for a migraine right now, especially with the first-years in the back. He was currently driving them out in the countryside with plans of pitting them against each other in a sparring session. Gripping the wheel a bit tighter, he gently sped up the car, watching to hurry up and get out of the car. Rainbow zigzags plagued his vision, taunting him of the pain to come soon. He longed to shut his eyes, to not have to look at them, but he was driving.
Somewhere behind him, Yuji squeaked something about Nobara’s head shape, only for her to lean over poor Megumi in the center and whack him in the temple, leaving the pink-haired boy yelping. Megumi let out an annoyed squawk, shoving her off him only for her to screech at him.
Don’t get him wrong, he was fine with them all playing around normally, but he felt overstimulation nibbling at his brain, leaving him to grip the wheel a bit tighter. The smug aura in his vision had grown, shaping itself into a crescent.
Wow, lucky him.
