Summary
Adam told them they’d be left alone. But Crowley hadn’t gotten this far without being paranoid- which is, in fact, a well adjusted response to having spent any time at all in Hell. Which is why he’s not actually all that surprised at Hastur once again showing up in his flat for some unsanctioned, good old-fashioned revenge- and a with a curse for good measure.
Afterwards, Crowley will need the help of Aziraphale, his closest friend- and also the object of his long term affections that he's never acted on- to figure out how to prevent the curse from becoming permanent.
