“Interested in holding me in debt, are you Ataveska? That desperate to own a part of me that you’d bleed for it?” it’s taunting and sharp, all pretense of civility gone, however thin.
Tav blinks. And then blinks again. Because, if she’s perfectly honest, the idea didn’t even occur to her, too caught up in him and this sudden awareness of his edges getting cutting and more brittle. Too caught up in seeing the wide whites of his eyes and her own unexplainable urge to satiate. But now that he’s brought it up- Her eyes are glowing, she knows, salivating at the thought and his mouth is still twisted in a merciless sneer.
“You’re just as hungry as I am.”

Now, her brain presented her with some beautiful man she’d probably seen in a magazine somewhere. She remembers the 7-11 and thinks she must have tripped over the curb and knocked herself out. She’d never had lucid dreams before, but that had to be what this was. Nothing else made sense.
“Hello? Are you listening to me?” The man interrupted her thoughts, “I’ve cornered one of those brain things. Can you help me fight it?”
Erin looked toward where he gestured, then back at him. She shrugged and said, “Why not. None of this is real, and I’ve already ruined my shoes.” She laughed again and started walking toward the bush he’d indicated.

It's a marriage of convenience, and no matter how many times you attempt to stamp out fantasies of a loving happy union it isn't something so easily abandoned in your heart. Perhaps there is a way you two could love one another that lies beyond aristocratic intrigue and capital.

THIS WORK IS BEING COMPLETELY REWRITTEN. :) I will leave the chapters that are there, but the rewritten story will begin at CHAPTER 6, with chapter 5 being a summary of 1-4.

She couldn’t have been an easier mark: a middle-aged recluse with lofty, folk-hero aspirations, despite having no battle prowess to speak of.
Astarion was almost embarrassed for her—at least the Blade of Frontiers was an obnoxious do-gooder who could actually kill something. Given her dire need for protection, this might very well be his quickest conquest in 200 years.
As if a world-endingly beautiful vampire would ever develop genuine feelings for someone like that.

Morana never had a normal life. Being a dhampir made that kind of difficult, so it wasn't too surprising she found herself in the middle of a plot for world domination via a giant brain. She'd been content with life the way it was - traveling with her twin brother, Davian, and completing odd jobs to keep them afloat.
Or so she thought.
All it took was new experiences and a handsome rogue with silver hair to cause her entire world to come crashing down.

As usual, I suck at descriptions lol I got this idea when I was making my dhampir character (ty mods!) and realized just how obvious it is that Astarion's a vampire. Which, duh. So, I thought, wouldn't it be funny if Tav was a dhampir but no one in the group could figure that one out, either - including Astarion himself (and vice verse). The rest just grew from there. There is slight Gale romance, too, but it's not a focus. Still, I listed it in tags.
This will focus more on the relationships and personal stories/quests, I think, than the main storyline but we'll see. Any main stuff I'll try to make my own.
Updates happen as they happen - no set schedule. :) I write/post as I'm inspired, but do always intend to finish my works someday.

Did he feel better? Maybe a smidgen. If the thing had cried or wailed over its pitiful existence and inevitable fading into obscurity maybe he would’ve been more satisfied.
Then again, it was a skeleton key so he wasn’t sure what he had been expecting.
