Anathema tries to help her old friend out by introducing him to the only lawyer she knows who might be crazy enough to take on the might of Celeste & Sons.
Two people with different ways of dealing with their issues strike up an unlikely friendship, leading to love and healing. Lots of bickering, bookshop silliness, boozing, bentley rides, shared desserts and blushing.

In contrast, all his neighbours seemed to be under the impression that the famously rakish Mr Anthony Crowley, who had for the past couple of years been a repeated visitor of his shop, quite fancied him. Summary
There are books missing from the library in the Abbey. A crime, Aziraphale suspects, that carries something much more serious underneath. He isn't expecting to deal with a demon summoned to kill him. He isn't expecting to find an ally in the oddest place.
An ally, and something else.
“Okay, so. The thing is,” Crowley starts, shifting again in his spot, “uh, someone wants you dead.”
Aziraphale blinks. “Pardon?”
“Didn’t you hear me? Someone wants you dead. As in deceased. As in six-feet-under. As in–”
“Alright, alright! That’s quite alright, thank you,” Aziraphale chokes out. “I still don’t see–”
Crowley heaves a sigh. “Listen, Angel.” He leans forward, elbows pressed against his knees, his hair falling around him like a curtain made of fire. He closes his eyes before continuing. “Truth is, someone summoned me to, er, to kill you, actually.”

Aziraphale is eternally grateful that he wasn’t taking a sip of his tea at that exact moment for he would’ve surely choked on it.

When Crowley claims to be Aziraphale's husband to ruin what he assumes is a date, he doesn't think anything of it. But a day later it comes back to bite him in the ass when Crowley finds out that the date in question is, in fact, his new boss, who is looking to hire Aziraphale and hoping that Crowley, his husband, will put in a good word for them. Now Crowley is caught in a tight spot: either admit to his new boss that he was lying, or convince Aziraphale, his sort-of enemy, to pretend to be his husband to save face.

The demon Crowley is accidentally summoned by Will Charity after an expedition for the Bureau of Antiquities uncovers a strange artifact. Will, who never intended to make a deal with a demon, figures he may as well make the best of the situation while he tries to come up with a way to nullify the contract. Crowley, who never expected to be back in a human form so soon (the 14th century being 'recent' by demon standards), is eager to get the deal completed so he can go back to enjoying his nap. But Will isn't the worst person to be stuck with, and Crowley quickly gets the hang of this Adventurer thing, so if it takes a little while to iron out the details... Neither of them are complaining.

From the far end of the ballroom Prince Aziraphale’s eyes locked on Crowley as he raised his hand beseechingly. Crowley couldn’t look away from him if his life depended on it, although he was keenly aware of the increasing number of eyes joining the Prince’s to stare at him standing frozen on the dais. As he realized that he was incapable of not answering the silent call of the bright Alpha below him, a calm washed over him, acting as a soothing balm over the jagged edges of his seething emotions.Just breathe. He inhaled shakily as he began descending the steps to the ballroom floor. Prince Aziraphale mirrored his steps, stepping forward to close the distance between them.
The sea of nobles between them parted like waves receding from the shore as they moved closer. When Crowley drew close to the Prince, his hand slowly rose to settle in the Alpha's outstretched one.
The Prince looked at Crowley's face searchingly. His voice was quiet yet ringing with intent as he asked, "May I have this dance?"

Crowley bit his lip for a couple of seconds before he took a deep breath and just went with it.
‘Would you like to go for a coffee sometime?’
There was silence at the other end.
Oh shit.
‘That was my friend messing around with my phone…?’
‘You do realise that only works over text.’

Why was he like this? He had wanted to kill Bea for doing the same thing and yet here he was, doing the thing. At Bea’s behest, mind you.
‘I would love to go for coffee. Oh, and cake!’Aziraphale is a very rich and successful writer. Crowley is at the worst possible moment of his life - living off Bee's couch and posting his mum's fairy tales on some random sites only to be ignored by everyone except one random person simply called A.
This is a story about how both of our main protagonists get over the ghosts of their pasts, learn to work together and maybe - just maybe - fall in love in the process.Not to mention that all of the characters that we love (hate - looking at you, Gabe) make an appearance.
