He is NOT going to be defeated by a fucking HOTEL ROOM and the desperate housewife from HELL.
Alternative summary: Alastor spends a sizeable amount of time locked in single combat with a hotel room door, Vaggie grows as a person, Lucifer Morningstar is Very Concerned that his ex-wife and current-whatever may be getting along too well, Charlie spends a lot of time being confused, Frederick von Eldrich comes out of retirement with style, the Archangel Michael develops a headache, and Vox attempts to de-bug his conscience.
There are also copious musical references for no good reason whatsoever.

The trio seizes at the chance for freedom and to build a better home than the ones they were given, rescuing other abused kids they know. But the town and church that protected their abusers for so long isn’t keen to let them go, and the kids refuse to relinquish their newfound freedom without a fight–even if it means the end of the world as they know it.

Eli doesn’t blame his mistress for kidnapping him or for spending years torturing and reprogramming his mind. From everything she’s told him, it needed to happen. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night and he feels like her, the sad and miserable girl who hurt herself when no one was watching. He doesn’t know if he had gender dysphoria before his mistress found him, if she kidnapped him because she could tell how pathetic he was or if she implanted his desires of masculinity into him as part of her reprogramming.
It’s not worth trying to figure out what predates her and what was embedded by her. Eli has internalized that lesson by now. Either way, every part of him is hers, so why does it matter?
