She did not answer verbally, as much as the hero had managed to raise her confidence enough for her to confide in him, she could not vocalise this to him. She hoped the tensing of her shoulder would answer enough.
And it seemed it did, as the hero stretched out his unbandaged hand toward her.
'I'm here' it said, 'I may not understand but I am here'.
She looked down at his hand, and then back at him. She found her hand being placed next to his, mere centimetres apart. They both understood the message.
'Same here' it said.
