Summary
Midoriya Izuku just wants to lead a quiet, peaceful life. This is foiled by the fact that a) he can see spirits, b) his good nature demands that he help anyone he sees in trouble, and c) he, by all rights, should not exist.
Helping the heroes who have fallen victim to the new quirk-breaking drug is a terrible idea for many reasons, the first and most important being that he hates attention and avoids it like the plague. But he's the only one who can help, so he does.
This is, Izuku decides as he breaks in, more trouble than it's worth.

When everyone found out that Izuku was quirkless, Katsuki was furious… at first. The two fell out, yeah, but it only lasted a few months.
When Katsuki saw some of those extras that followed him attacking Deku, HIS Deku, he snapped. His body moved on its own, and he found himself punching, screaming, and blasting them until they ran off. Izuku looked up with tears streaming down his face, shocked.
Katsuki placed a hand on his knee as he bent down to help Izuku up. “Don’t listen to a word they say, Deku. You’re still gonna be a hero. I’ll make sure of it.” Katsuki pulled the smaller boy up before lightly punching his arm. “Not as good as me, obviously. You can settle for number two.”
Izuku giggled wetly and hesitantly countered, “We’ll see, Kachan. If you’re helping me, then I’ll surpass even you someday!”
Katsuki scoffed and led the way back to his house. “Yeah, I’d like to see you try!”

Summary
Kirishima Eijirou is in the right place at the right time. He steps between Midoriya and Bakugou, saving the quirkless boy from gaining new burns. Kirishima readily agrees and the two start meeting up nearly everyday before and after school. during their training sessions, Kirishima starts to notice Midoriya coming in with different types of injuries. “Kacchan,” the man cuts in with a gentle voice. The bright stars in his eyes coupled with the aching familiarity of his entire person makes Katsuki’s senses go haywire. He’s surprised when he doesn't move away as the other takes a small step forward, “You’re crying.”

Katsuki finds Izuku in an unexpected place five years after the latter went missing and later realizes it had been just in time too—the idiot was about to do something idiotic again (but what's new?).
The world has changed with the apocalypse—Izuku's status is no longer what it was and mysterious sides are hunting for him. But this time, for better or for worse, Katsuki will do just about anything to keep him safe.

“Congratulations on getting nine out of ten questions correct! Without further ado, let’s move on to the last question..” Hanazawa paused for dramatic effect as the lights dimmed and the spotlights overhead honed in on their podiums.
“What is … your hero partner’s type?”
A brief silence.
“‘Type?’” Izuku questioned at the same time as Kacchan.
“Yes, type,” the host laughed. “Like, who would they date? What are they into?”
The blood drained from Izuku’s face and he shot a panicked look at Kacchan. The blond didn’t seem to be faring any better, his gaze zeroed in on Hanazawa as if he could will her to change the question to something else.
Izuku... didn't know the answer to that.

In order to increase their popularity rankings as up and coming pro heroes, Izuku and Katsuki participate in the most popular late night talk show for hero duos - ‘Heroes Rising!’. Or, Midoriya Izuku was Quirkless, was gifted a Quirk from All Might, went to Yuuei, fought in a War, lived through the After and was supposed to die. Only he finds himself back in the past with a skewed moral code, PTSD, and an extreme desire to stop his friends from dying brutal deaths. He is going to change the future, make some friends, maybe find a boyfriend, give some Villains a reason to be better and stop some Heroes. For better or for worse.
