“I suppose this is where we part,” Albedo says once they reach the fountain and come to a stop. “Thank you for the tea.”
“Thank you for your company,” Kaeya returns with a soft smile. “You’re welcome to come over anytime. Klee, too. I mean it.”
Albedo meets his gaze before ducking his head in a nod. “I’ll keep that in mind,” he says quietly. He carefully chooses to call the warmth blooming in his chest a result of being flattered by the statement, rather than anything else. “Goodbye for now, Captain.”
“I think we’re close enough now that you can stop being so formal all the time,” Kaeya says airily, eye twinkling. “Use my name more. I like the way you make it sound.”
He blinks in surprise, lips parting but no response coming out. Kaeya watches him for a minute before laughing lightly, raising a hand in a small wave. “I’ll see you later, Chief Alchemist.”
Or, in a world where those recognized by Celestia are gifted with dragons instead of visions, Kaeya's tiny companion becomes oddly attached to the Knight of Favonius' Chief Alchemist.
Eventually, her master does too.

Albedo would like to blame two things for the current situation he found himself in.
Firstly, his overwhelming fondness for Aether overshadowed his ability to fully understand everything that was said that night.
Secondly, his inclination to stay in his room and read in his personal library or research in his new secluded study resulted in him not being fully aware of every change in the house.
This is what led to him getting caught completely off-guard—staring wide-eyed at the Calvary Captain standing in the kitchen at 3 in the morning, returning an equally baffled stare.
OR
Albedo and Kaeya become roommates in Aether’s teapot and take the opportunity to get to know each other a little bit better :)

Kaeya watched him carefully, “And pray tell, why should I not just tear out your throat from where you stand? What do you have to trade in exchange for scuttling about in my home, dear alchemist?”
The blonde gritted his teeth and pushed the hand holding his jaw aside. “Perhaps I could teach you some manners first,” said Albedo flatly as he stared into the creature of the night’s gaze, rubbing at the sore spot on his jaw where the vampire had grabbed him.

Summary
Kaveh used to think that Alhaitham had mastered the art of ignoring him. The man would remain unflappable as he continued to read his worn copy of The Origins of Enkanomiyan Language, even when Kaveh was a hair’s breadth away from shattering the windows of their house with his severity of pitch.
No amount of screaming, threats to throw things, or violently waving in front of him could get Alhaitham to pause in his thirst for knowledge. As it turns out, Alhaitham literally just turns his hearing aids off so he doesn’t have to listen to Kaveh.
It’s for this exact reason that Kaveh has decided to learn Sumerian Sign Language.
