Or, the Aizawa adopts Izuku fic where Inko is still loved, All Might is trying his best, Izuku never loses One For All, and the mortifying ordeal of becoming a family is slow, complicated, and painful, but ultimately worth it.

“Why are we drinking?” Wooyoung asked as if it was a normal occasion for Jongho to be drinking in the middle of the week. Jongho chose not to answer, instead opening another bottle of soju to fill the shot glasses.
Wooyoung took his not-answer in stride and instead took the shot glasses out of his hands. At this point Jongho was very aware that Wooyoung was downing them not because he truly wanted to but because he was concerned for Jongho’s liver.
“How much did you have already?”, Wooyoung pressed afterwards, clutching the shot glasses tighter to his chest as if scared Jongho would take them from him again.
“Not enough”, Jongho grumbled. And see, he was even able to speak without slurring. Too much. Wooyoung gave him a look that screamed with his disbelief. “It’s none ’f your business.” And okay, maybe he was slurring the words together a bit too much to truly be considered appropriately drunk for a Wednesday evening.
Wooyoung only hummed, placing the glasses back on the table before turning back to face Jongho. “Do you want to talk about it anyway?”Or: Jongho gets some bad news, asking for help is hard, and why bother feeling emotions when you have soju? Wooyoung is not impressed.
