Summary
Erik doesn’t understand about war when his whole village is pillaged and burned to the ground. Not beyond the simple fact that his home doesn’t exist anymore and everyone he knew, everyone he loved and hated is gone forever. That in the span of less than an hour he became an orphan.
He doesn’t remember much of that night. He knows his hands were red but he doesn’t quite remember why. A man in black asking him questions, nodding once he got a response that must have satisfied him. The ride to their camp.
The man in black is the camp’s Chief, Erik knows. His tent is the biggest one and more decorated than the rest. A mysterious force driving their camp forward. The one deciding all of their fate like some sort of god of war. War that Erik still doesn’t understand about beyond the fact that he is now a part of it and he has no choice but to move with its tide.

Summary
Henry’s life is a mess. Ever since his parents died he can’t keep a job for longer than a couple months, lives at his father's friend's flat and might have a bit of a problem with alcohol.
Everything changes when he is hired by a prominent mob boss Hanush to be a bodyguard to his nephew—young Hans Capon. It’s a tough job considering Hans’ explosive temperament, but time might just be all they need to realise they are more similar than they think.
