He knew that smile. He thought it was for him, just for him. But it wasn't.
“No,” he whispered. His stomach spasmed.
“You good, Roz?”
Why would he- How could he-
They were holding hands…
“Rozanov? What the fuck?”
He jumped up from the table and stumbled for the front door, just barely making it through before the first mass of petals came up. He heaved as he ran, trying desperately to get away from the pavement, somewhere he could hide what was happening.
Unfortunately, his teammates had followed, because of course they would. He saw a photo of Shane Hollander holding hands with a movie star and promptly threw up.
Who wouldn't be curious?

Summary
Ilya thinks about the last night they spent together, thinks about Shane splayed out on a hotel mattress pleading for his touch, thinks about how they hadn’t even kissed, and it starts as a strange little tickle in the back of his throat. Barely-there. He could ignore it if he wanted.
Then the intensity grows, flourishes into full-blow irritation, and suddenly he’s sputtering on his Coke and attracting the attention of the woman in the first-class seat across the aisle from him. He thinks it’s just some odd coughing fit, or that he inhaled his soda on accident, so he’s shocked when he feels something soft and smooth and triangular against his tongue.
It’s not until he spits the object into the napkin he’d received with his drink that he can see what it is: a long, thin, green leaf. A sepal.
As soon as Ilya realizes what he’s looking at, he’s flooded with dread.
Ilya's known these feelings were doomed from the start. He never thought they'd literally kill him.

Simon slides a book into place before turning around. The man in front of him is lean, worn thin, with bags like dusky thumbprints beneath his eyes. He’s swallowed by the massive black hoodie he’s wearing, his hands wedged deep into his pockets and his shoulders hunched.
For reasons he cannot begin to understand, Simon wants to crush this man into a tiny ball and then shove him into the mouth that gapes, screaming, around his own starved heart.
He doesn’t do that, obviously. He’s on the clock.

Soap took a deep breath and straightened up. “Found out Mac cheated on me.”

Ghost and Soap have been fuck buddies for a while. Soap finds himself a boyfriend. Then a girlfriend. Then a couple more boyfriends after that. Ghost is over it, but he wouldn't dare say anything, not when doing so could take away the time he gets with Johnny between relationships.
AKA- Ghost is devastated that Soap keeps getting into relationships when Ghost is RIGHT THERE for the taking. Cue emotional constipation and the rest of the Task Force being so sick of their shit.

Summary
Being told to shut up always hurt. More than he suspected it should. Soap once had drunkenly apologized to Gaz for being such a loudmouth, and when Gaz insisted that everyone liked his friendly chattiness, Soap had literally flopped over him in relief and confessed that being told to shut up was like being kicked. No other insult or fight had the same effect on him.
Except, perhaps, being called useless.

“Oh, god. Oh, god, no. Gaz, tell me I didn’t,” Soap whispered, horrified.
Gaz at least had the good grace to cover his mouth to muffle his laughter. “You absolutely fucking did, mate. Right above your ass,” Gaz informed him, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
In absolute horror, Soap dashed back to the mirror and turned his back to it. It would be fine. When he looked back at his skin in the mirror, it’d be fine. Nothing would be out of place. There would be absolutely nothing wrong with anything.
Soap’s jaw fell to the ground with a panicked whimper when he’d turned his head over his shoulder.
Because, right above his fucking ass like Gaz had said, the name “Simon Riley” was tattooed in neat, mediumly thick letters. Bleeding fucking Christ. He’d gotten a tattoo of Ghost’s name. Above his ass.

Summary
John MacTavish thought he was doing decently well in life. Despite giving up his dreams as a professional wrestler due to a knee injury, he was still able to stay close to the sport through his job. He had good coworkers, made enough money to afford a decent place to live, and even got to see his own celebrity crush, Simon "Ghost" Riley, live in the ring.
Ghost was a wrestling legend, with one of the most impressive track records in recent history, but he was hard to catch. Refused interviews and media press, never attended social athlete events, and never stuck around.
So, imagine Soap's surprise when he received a call one day, saying that The Ghost was willing to do an interview if Soap was the one conducting it.
He didn't even do interviews normally!
Nevertheless, he sure as hell wasn't going to pass on an opportunity like this.
Little did he know, this decision would change his life drastically.

“Nah, not you, not John Price,” Gaz smirked without any humour. “Already on his way to replace the broken part, isn’t he? The show must go on.”
Price finally held his eyes – just for a beat – before looking away. His voice remained controlled. “It was a clean op. Intel wasn’t great, but that’s what we work with. Your injury was—” he caught himself but steamrolled on “—bad luck.”
Gaz barked a laugh, full of pain in it. He could’ve punched him, if he wasn’t stuck to the bloody bed.
or: Gaz is medically discharged. He and Price don't handle it very well.
