Summary
Most of the time, meals are eaten at the table. Today’s a special exception. Knowing that Peeta grew up with terse family dinners, I wanted him to experience the opposite. It’s important to both of us that we do over what we lost out on for the sake of our children. Before my father died, dinners at the Everdeen family table were full of conversation, often a song.
