- We're being shot at!
In the turmoil, no one noticed the deafening smack overboard, masked by the roar of an engine and a machine-gun burst.
“Damn!” - thought Senku, finding himself in the cold water. Too distracted by his worst fears, he didn't have time to grab onto anything when Ryusui abruptly added speed.
Climbing out of the water, Senku quickly tried to take cover in the grass thickets. It wasn't exactly inconspicuous, but he hoped that in the heat of the chase the adversary wouldn't notice the slight rippling of the coastal grasses.
The sound of the engine could still be heard echoing in the distance, but no machine gun fire could be heard.
That meant either that the attackers had fallen behind and lost sight of them, or...
...they switched to another target.
It was quiet, but he knew where this could be going.
And if he wasn't going to lose his life right this moment, then that meant the enemy needed a very specific thing.
Information. From their point of view, he had nothing more valuable than that.
If that's true, he's not gonna die that easily. At least not right away.
However...

Summary
Once the pain reached its peak, Danny couldn’t take it anymore and wailed in agony, stumbling back and forth. His screams crashed into his friends and the equipment around the portal, blasting them back with deadly force, knocking Sam and Tucker unconscious. He thought he saw his parents banging on the reinforced window, and he definitely saw Jazz stumbling forward as fast as she could, bleeding from multiple wounds and every opening on her face before Danny’s breath gave out and Jazz collapsed forward less than a foot away from where he was standing. The portal was stable, even if the machine was half crushed and sparking like no tomorrow.
Danny gazed blankly straight ahead, seeing in the reflection on the reinforced window that he had silver hair and glowing green eyes while his parents face seemed beyond distraught. Then, he slowly started to fall backwards into the portal. Jazz tried to reach out to him, and her body seemed to be flickering, but the only thing he could think was,

"The Yiga Clan loathes Hyrule's good hero, and will stop at nothing to claim his life. Given their… numerous failed attempts at doing just that, they've clearly adopted a different strategy; if they cannot kill him, it appears they'll settle for causing him the most pain they possibly can, and they are certainly not above harming the people close to him for that purpose. Sidon doubtlessly features in that category, and he is endlessly proud of that, but he hadn't thought he'd be the prime target for such an endeavour.
Now, there's the kicker; somehow, some way, for some inane reason, the Yiga have become convinced that Link is in love with him."
Or, the Yiga are very proud of themselves for finding out Link's secret. Sidon finds the whole thing frankly hilarious, until he doesn't.
