Ajax claimed that he was different after Guizhong appeared and that he wasn’t any fun anymore, just because Morax wouldn’t spar with him as much as he used to. That’s when he started acting out.
Jealous. Or bored. Like a puppy.
A grin spreads on Morax’s face at the thought. One of Guizhong’s favorite mortals got a dog, recently, and it’s just like Ajax. It’s energetic, cute, and loyal. It gets bored quickly. It gets jealous easily. However, even when it messes up, it always comes back.
Ajax… his little puppy.
Every puppy can be tamed.

Summary
Childe slips his hand into Zhongli’s and tugs him toward the steps leading down to the harbourfront. Zhongli stumbles, grumbling, “Ajax!” under his breath, but when Childe pauses to look back, the corner of Zhongli’s eyes are crinkled and the lantern-light catches off his golden irises like flame.
His eyes can hide no secrets any longer.
Zhongli loves this.
And so does Childe.
In an effort to keep up with Zhongli's inhuman stamina in the bedroom, Childe turns to unconventional means to extend his own.
It works—but at a cost. With his health deteriorating, Childe attempts to fight on as he attempts to conceal his condition from Zhongli, but as it becomes more and more difficult to maintain his façade, a slip up during a routine mission threatens to bring his efforts crashing down around him.

But falling in love comes with the bitter price that Childe, once again, has nowhere to run—from his feelings or himself.

Zhongli bats her eyelashes innocently at her lover, but her pink lips curl upwards into a wily grin.
“You seemed so enamored with this vessel,” she says, petting Childe’s cheek with soft fingertips. She traces the freckles on the boy’s face as his dilated pupils scan her nude form. “I figured you would not feel so bold to tease me if I looked as I did earlier.”
The harbinger shivers as those fingertips turn into claws—long black nails now carving white lines upon pale flesh beneath the man’s chin.
“Tell me what you want, Ajax, and it is yours. This is my birthday gift to you.”
Childe lets out a whine.
“I want you, Li,” his voice comes out shakier than he expects. “Command me. Let me serve you.”
The adeptus hums at that.
“Then, on your knees, my love.”

Childe is happily married when the Traveler knocks on their door carrying an unconscious Zhongli on his back. When Zhongli wakes up, Childe is shocked to find himself speaking not to his husband, but Morax, God of Contracts.
And worse yet, Morax mistakes him as the Goddess of Dust.
