Summary
Sonic has experienced every low a lowly street urchin could possibly experience. Shadow has experienced every high someone of his esteemed position could receive. When the two collide, the cracks in each of their lives become clear, and a whirlpool of warmth and sincerity pulls them under before either can realise it. It is an experience that they fight to cherish whilst dancing around the eyes that would condemn them, yet a secret can only be sustained too long.
A Titanic AU in which many shenanigans take place, and untold and unresolved threads are woven together into a new tapestry both hedgehogs are not ready for. Rated Mature for some heavier themes and heavier make out scenes ;) heed the tags!

It has been a year since he last saw him.
And for Shadow (as well as Sonic) it would be too soon if it lasted the rest of their lives. However after a G.U.N mission forces Shadow into an impasse in which he is forced to work with the other hedgehog, the two find themselves in a predicament. One they cannot speed their way out of.
How will the unresolved tensions manifest after being literally trapped in the shoes of the one you resent the most? It's certainly something Sonic and Shadow are learning how to deal with, that's for sure.

Now he must assist in Sonic's hunt for the Chaos Emeralds, alongside aiding some small Koco in their own quest. This dark hedgehog has learned a lot from his time in White Space; can he sustain what he will come to grips with in Cyber Space?

Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

Due to an experiment and mission from GUN, Shadow has the ability to read minds for about a week. Shadow hates the idea of hearing more than he has to from the people around him, but when he begins to learn some damning information about his rival, he realizes that maybe he should take advantage of this ability while he still can.

"Exile still seems the best option, Stoick..."
Stoick should have known better. While he didn't know much about his son-especially now-he knew the boy was clever. It should have been no surprise when a guard burst into the Council Meeting and revealed that Hiccup had escaped the cell Stoick put him in...hours after the boy was revealed to have saddled a dragon.
Hiccup is gone, and so is the beast.
They search, but do not find him. Berk falls asleep one night and awakens in the Great Hall, where the torches come to life and cast an image of their isle on the wall, from which floats Hiccup's voice, years younger.
AKA, Hiccup forfeited the final challenge, leaving Astrid with the right to kill the Nightmare. Story picks up in the Race to the Edge era, except Berk never learned the truth of dragons, no one knows how Hiccup really lost his leg, and stories of a hooded 'vigilante' riding a Night Fury have been long whispered...and Berk will see it all unfold.
