Hiccup has noticed that many things changed, the dragons hidden and forgotten to the young, buildings standing longer, and new young running around. But one thing he noticed hasn't changed, was him. It was like he was stuck, he didn't seem to age, not getting taller or getting gray hairs like all of his friends. Seeing so many once familiar faces grow old and disappear he was tired, no one to remember their shared adventures, no one to know dragons were real anymore. So when his great grandchildren were grown up, he left Berk. He sailed to the Hidden world, living with found brother, Toothless. Living in the Hidden World's shadow for centuries to come.
Or Hiccup gains immortality/shares Toothless's life span and lives in the Hidden world when all the people he knew and still believe dragons exists were all gone. A thousand years or so later when dragons were all just myths and legends a certain winter spirit finds a Light Fury, what could go wrong with a spirit making friends with a dragon?

In this first edition of Hiccup Meets Star Trek, following the end of The Hidden World, the world turns upside down, the Hidden World collapses in on itself forcing all the dragons back out, and the Barbaric Archipelago finds itself on 24th century Earth.

After the dragons leave for the Hidden World, Hiccup is left to grapple with the fallout as the rest of New Berk begins to rebuild and move on. But Hiccup just can't seem to move on like the rest of them. As Chief, he needs to put on a brave face and lead by example, but his grief threatens to consume him and ruin everything he has worked for. After an argument ends badly with Astrid, he isn't sure if he will be able to pull himself together in order to win her back. In order to move forward, Hiccup must come to terms with who he is without Toothless, and how to protect his people without the might of dragons behind him.
~~~A post-Hidden World Fic that explains how HIccup and Astrid got to the boat to see Toothless again. This is a mature version of the characters and story with mentions of suicidal ideation, depression, grief, violence, war, and sexual content, so proceed with caution. None of the original HTTYD characters are mine, but I do have some original characters that I have added to the story. Any similarities to other stories or characters are completely coincidental.

The chief of Berk had to clear his head or else he’d say something he’d regret. Jumping onto his Night Fury, he took to the sky and up above the clouds. He could hear his mother’s words clearly in his mind back when Drago attacked.
“You have the heart of a chief and the soul of a dragon. Only you can bring our worlds together. That is who you are, son.”
Her words echoed in his mind, and each word felt like a dagger to the heart, despite her telling him that months ago, it still stuck with him. And now, the same words had a different meaning to them. He was the chief, which meant he had a duty to his people- even at the cost of his own heart, it would seem as well. Yelling with frustration, the young chief laid on his back and simply looked up at the sky, wanting to think about anything that would take his mind off the news that morning. -
