Consumed and entranced by them, long fingers moved from his hip to the narrow fissure above it. It seemed to react to his touch, its pulsating glow intensifying and emitting a strange, energetic, eerie sound.

It started with Jayce being unable to kill Salo at the Hexgates. His hammer was poised to strike, flexed, tensed muscles in a damning position, but a thought sparked within him, ‘what if Viktor can feel this?’ and he was powerless to stop it.
Instead, he followed Salo through the Undercity, gritting his teeth all the while as Salo marvelled about Viktor’s splendour, basked in his glory, ran his fucking mouth about Jayce’s partner’s beauty. Ex-partner. Fuck.
