Summary
A child brought into the world silent and still, a body devoid of life until a miraculous revival. Her mother had perished in childbirth and her father had vanished, never to be seen again. She thought she imagined the tremble in her former student’s voice as it echoed across the grand and lonely throne room.“I knew that when we met again that one of us would breathe our last.
