"I don't think I’ll make it before you leave–" You look away, not bearing to face his piercing stare anymore.
"I can wait," he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it. "I mean, uhh... me and the crew... we can wait for you," he grins cheekily. "This place seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days."
"We'll see," you softly chuckle in an attempt to hide your blank eyes. "I mean, who else is supposed to save you when you're halfway beaten to death?"
Hearing his half-hearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realise this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the freckled man you've been dreaming about for the past months.
The familiar warmth tingles on your skin as he gently cups your face, his thumb carefully wiping away the tears on your cheek. Without breaking your gaze, Ace whispers, "I don't want to be saved by anybody else, y/n."

You are a farmer who tends to be isolated from the rest of the world, naturally by choice- and nature seemed to have taken that personally. So they sent you a traumatized hedgehog in need of learning how to experience the world again from someone surrounded by it. It also helps that you hate the people he’s running from.
Though I doubt nature wanted to listen to your opinion on the matter.

Enlighten yourself to the land of Middle Earth!
There's something strangely familiar about this land. Does it remind you of anything? If you look up into the stars at night can you perhaps sense an ever-watching, ever-knowing presence that hums to you from way above? Cause that perhaps, is where your story is written up there amongst the heavens fighting a constant balancing act of good and evil.
Now, in the midst, you rebirthed into 'Middle Earth', where you the reader, are forced on a dangerous journey alongside, 'The Company', to reclaim their Lonely Mountain home, filled with opals, jewels, and gold, but those riches hold a deadly story. But to get there, you will need to travel far distances, over lakes, cursed forests, and mysterious kingdoms.
Though, as you travel through these lands, forests are not the only phenomenons cursed with impurity. It runs in your blood, a darkness that's there but yet, too shy to show itself fully waiting for the right moment to unleash itself once again.
