A few weeks in Vyrantium should allow him to lie low and come up with a new plan of attack for wrangling the Imperium into reform. As long as no one kills him on the way there.
Except, Mae has some new friends with some rather ridiculous pseudonyms, and they’ve got some allies that Dorian never expected - or wanted - to meet again, let alone travel with.
The Blue Wraith has a reputation in Tevinter, and a target in Vyrantium. It makes sense for them to travel together, to work together. If they don’t kill each other, first.

For two weeks straight he dreamt that he was meeting a little boy. The child had red-brown hair and dark eyes and laughed when he saw Dorian. He would launch himself at Dorian, hug him tightly around the waist and say how much he’d missed his brother.
It varied more after that, sometimes they’d play and Dorian would be able to think he’d just dreamed about having a little brother-
But sometimes they went flying and spat fire. Sometimes they looked down on battlefields and wiped armies away with a roar.

Summary
Bull learned everything he needed to know about the vampires of Tevinter in Seheron. Born of magical bloodlines, they move extremely fast, are almost impossible to kill, and have no qualms about keeping slaves to feed their own thirst.
None of that would have mattered to the Qunari if the Vint’s had just stayed on their own side of the Nocen Sea. But when the two sides clashed in Seheron, the Qunari learned one more important fact...the blood of a Qunari shifter made a vampire impervious to the sun’s harmful rays. The effect faded over time, making Qunari slaves the most sought after food source for the vampires.
After losing his entire pack, The Iron Bull was reassigned to the south. Believing he would be a lone wolf for the rest of his life he was surprised to find himself gathering a new pack that would grow to include the leader of the Inquisition.
The problems began when the Inquisitor insisted upon bringing a vampire into her inner circle. Vowing to keep an eye on the vamp, Bull was surprised when Dorian proved to be unlike any vamp Bull had ever met. Begrudging admiration blossomed into reluctant intrigue as Bull began to accept that perhaps Dorian was more than just a vampire.

Summary
Tevinter is the only place in Thedas not to make use of Qunari technology. Everywhere else? Look, the Qun might have had a reputation for war in the past, but now all they do is make very useful machines who may or may not be watching your every move and reporting back to a centralised database we're just kidding ha ha.
The Iron Bull, a Hissrad-class unit, might have some prior malfunctions on his record but he was recalibrated post-Seheron and now he's just fine, and not obsolete yet, thank you very much. A little observational work is far below his original specifications, but that's a good way of making sure there are no unfortunate reoccurrences.
Then Madame de Fer decides that Dorian Pavus needs someone-- or something-- to make sure he doesn't actually work himself into an early grave-- and, well, Control Central jump at the chance to have him keeping a close eye on a Tevinter mage.
This is how Dorian Pavus ends up with a very large, very battered Qunari android standing in his living room.

Summary
The constellation Draconis is always depicted by a dragon in flight. Recently, it has come into question whether this was the case in the ancient Imperium. Most Tevinter dragon imagery was reserved for the Old Gods, so why would they dedicate a constellation to dragons in general when specific dragons were held in such reverence? This speculation is fueled by older drawings showing Draconis as more serpentine in appearance, perhaps depicting a sea creature or an unknown eighth Old God that was stricken from historical record. -- DA:I Codex

The look Vivienne gives him reminds Dorian so heavily of Maevaris that he almost laughs—unbothered by his antics, concerned for the rest—but he very quickly reconsiders it. Whatever semblance of acquaintanceship they’ve stumbled upon isn’t nearly strong enough to survive it, and despite how awful he feels, Dorian hasn’t a death wish.
