Grace moved under the water, wetting her hair and body as she listened to him grunt and groan for all of thirty seconds before she had enough. “For goodness’ sake,” she hissed, ripping the nozzle out of his hand. “Fight me on this and I swear on mom’s grave, I’ll sleep on the couch for the next month, Leon Scott.”
“Women,” he groused under his breath.
“Men,” she scoffed, spraying him in the face until he spluttered.
Grace takes care of Leon (and herself).

Leon kissed her, using the distraction to drag her deeper into the water. She wrapped her legs around his middle until they were flush together, his body the ship mast that moored her as she clung for dear life.
“Been so patient, haven't you?” He implored with thick gravel in his voice, forehead pressed against hers as they bobbed gently up and down with the waves.
“Years,” Grace cried, combing away the wet tendrils falling into his face.
During a tropical getaway, Leon shows Grace what perfect timing looks like.

She focused her vision enough to count the number of steps in the stairs below her. Twelve more. I can do this. Whatever it takes. Her breath was an audible rasp as she descended, palm gripped for dear life on the railing. There were people looking at her as she muttered expletives and encouragement to herself in turn, but that was fine. She’d never see any of these people again.
Someone, an upstanding citizen, a kind stranger, opened the door for her at the entrance. The wind had picked up, invigorating her senses, chilling the sweat on the back of her neck. Sherry’s Maserati was parked close, but all Grace could see was a black coupe-style SUV blocking the curb in front.
A Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, to be precise.
Grace has an unpleasant medical experience. Her Gen-X boyfriend takes the wheel.
