Dolores isn’t close to Mirabel. As awful as that sounds, as guilty as that makes her feel, she knows it’s true. Their relationship now mostly consists of accidentally bumping into each other in the hallway, exchanging awkward talk, and sometimes dry looks over the dinner table when Camilo says something dumber than usual. Summary
“Did you know some turtles can live to be over 150?” Zoey says, about midway Rumi’s scalp.
“Oh really, Zo?” Rumi says groggily. Inwardly she groans, because now Zoey starts talking all about Tortoises, Galapos and Sey-Whatever turtles. Usually she loved listening to Zoey talk to whatever her current obsession was, but not at 7- freaking- AM. Before she even managed to have a single drop of caffeine.
Zoey gets to the base of her head now, where some stubborn hairs refuse to leave the collar of Rumi’s turtleneck. She pulls the collar down slightly, only to still at the light purple marks hidden beneath it.
Alternatively: Zoey accidentally finds out about Rumi's patterns and slowly starts puzzling together the truth, while dealing with her own emotions about it.

Summary

But then people began summoning demons through the honmoon, and things had to change. Now, she’s scarred—by surgery, by guilt, by friends who no longer trust she’ll stay. Huntr/x, the group she once held together, fell apart in her absence, eclipsed by the meteoric rise of the Saja Boys.
Meanwhile, the Golden Honmoon trapped the Saja Boys in hell. With no souls and no food, the demons grew hungrier and hungrier until a summoning pulled them back. Bound by a twisted contract to perform or starve, they’re determined to kill the group who sealed them away.
But when Huntr/x realizes they know nothing about their old prey and the Saja Boys need to face their old fears, families, and former bosses again, the two groups come to a bitter conclusion; they may need to work with the enemy to get what they want.

In an attempt to save Jinu from making a horrible mistake, Rumi goes to the Human Realm herself to talk to the Huntresses about her own plan. It shouldn't be too hard to find two superpowered singers with archaic weaponry, right? Oh, and while she's at it, she should probably try to figure out why the Honmoon is so... Odd around her.

Summary
Unlike what it is known, Celine wasn’t the one who chose Mira and Zoey, to build HUNTR/X around Rumi.
It all started when they were applicants in an audition which they never even intended to apply in the first place.
Rumi was struggling with her heritage of being half demon, doubting if she was even a Hunter. Rumi was completely uninterested in the audition.
Mira was disowned and kicked out from her family, she was an angry teenager with countless inner wounds. Mira was desperate to pass the audition.
Zoey was an energetic and bubbly girl on the outside, but inside she was falling apart from her two lives. Zoey was hoping and struggling through the audition.
It was obvious from the start that they wouldn’t get along. Also the audition was becoming an overwhelming challenge to them. Especially when there was an imposter who lies, she was Ryu Miyeong’s daughter and Celine’s ward. While Rumi hides who she is, she starts to care for Mira and Zoey, then plans to make Mira and Zoey into Hunters chosen by the Honmoon.
