Levi, recién integrado al Cuerpo de Exploración, la definiría como la calidez de las personas fuera de la Ciudad Subterránea, o el deseo profundo que sentía por conseguirles un mejor futuro sus amigos, también podría intentar explicar la humanidad dando como ejemplo las manos suaves de su amada que estaban dispuestas a sanar cualquier herida, llenas de empatía y comprensión.
Erwin Smith, un capitán con un futuro brillante, la explicaría como aquello que estaba dispuesto a sacrificar para conseguir su sueño. Lo dejaría todo de lado para seguir a la mujer que lo acompañaba en sus fantasías sobre la verdad detrás de las murallas.Ambos pensaban de Dex Beckett cuando trataban de definir el valor de la humanidad.
Levi se une al Cuerpo de Exploración y conoce a una mujer increíble pero no sabe como expresar sus nuevas emociones, por otro lado Erwin está demasiado enfocado en su futuro dentro de la milicia para permitirse actuar en sus sentimientos por la misma persona. El corazón de Dex Beckett se divide entre el hombre que ha amado desde joven y un interesante desconocido.

Then he finds a tiny tea shop run by someone too friendly for post-war reality. She smiles too much. Her desserts have ridiculous names. She keeps giving him tea for free. Clearly suspicious, and a possible drug lord. Levi keeps coming back anyway.
