By the end of the first week, it had become painfully apparent that their new neighbor had absolutely no interest in the valley or its inhabitants. The farmer avoided the town like the plague, going as far as traversing all the way up and around the bus station and through the mountains to avoid walking through the main drag. Any business he had in town was carried out exclusively at JojaMart—though Shane has certainly never seen hide nor hair of him—and any attempts by the townsfolk to ensnare him in conversation were, ultimately, unsuccessful in every sense of the word.
By the end of the first month, any and all excitement has blown over and it’s altogether too easy for Shane to forget about their newest edition to the valley entirely. He’s never seen the man, never spoken to him, and aside from the odd comment or whispered recounting every now and again, nobody even so much as mentions him.
As far as Shane is concerned, the farmer doesn’t exist.

As he walked into the room, whatever it had been that Zhongli had expected, he hadn't expected Childe to be quite so…

And no, it was not 'neat'.
Childe is returning to Liyue and Zhongli has something important to ask him. However, when a rather cheerful, but very much dead Childe shows up in Zhongli's living room, plans have to be placed aside.
When the pair turn to Hu Tao for advice, she suggests that in order for Childe to pass onto the next realm, he must first let go of all unfinished business tying him to the mortal realm. Of course, this is easier said than done when a stubborn Harbinger insists he is perfectly at peace with the life he has led.
And so Zhongli and Childe find themselves on a journey across Childe's homeland to complete the Harbinger's Bucket List, and discover his final regret together.

The only thing stopping Scaramouche from bursting into laughter was a glare from Signora, whose fingernails were biting into her palms with such force as to break the skin. Capitano actually let out a chuckle before covering his mouth and then Dottore’s, who would have bitten him if his mask allowed it. Sandrone looked ready to blow a gasket, which as always his dog ears flapping ruined the intimidation that might have caused, and Pantalone next to him looked as unaffected as ever. And Colombina… well it was hard to tell if she just didn’t care or was actually seething. Probably somewhere in the middle. Pierro was very proud of his fellow harbingers.
Childe thought the most challenging part of being the Tsaritsa's Vanguard was going to be the eventual rebellion against Celestia where they were all likely going to be decimated. However, somehow navigating his relationships with his fellow Harbingers was a worse minefield, yet a path he wanted to walk all the same.
