They rarely were in the same room as her at the same time. As if in response, Derpy opened his mouth and out dropped a 'Hello Friend' card.

The business that owned the lake the drowning had occurred at has already had a few lawsuits filed against them and the chief wanted her to see if there was any cause to finally shut it down.
She finds a little girl there who won't talk to her, so she called Buck since he's so good with kids, asking him to please talk to her or at least get her to join the rest of the group so that she wasn't all alone as she played.
