Summary

When Stiles reads the posts, he’s more confused. They’re older posts, back from his undergrad freshman year, but it was during a supernatural attack that a bunch of people got caught in. Stiles practically ran himself into the ground offering support, advice, and gathering information for Scott and Derek so they could do damage control.
“This tells me nothing,” Stiles says. “Except that you can use Google and know how to take screenshots.”
“I consider it your resume,” Fury tells him.
Stiles freezes, because what.
Fury doesn’t say anything else, doesn’t explain, even after Stiles gestures for more. “What the hell do you mean it’s my resume? If you haven’t realized it, I’m still in college.”
He doesn’t look impressed. “You’ve been in college. You have two degrees, four separate certifications, and you’re on the fast-track for a PhD.”
“I like learning,” Stiles deadpans.
“You like helping, and it just so happens that I have someone you can help.”

Maybe but it was the principle of the matter and just like that on cue, his phone vibrated. Stiles glared at the device and then towards Derek. “You owe me big time wolf man.”
He smirked and walked away as Stiles swiped the answer button. “I just want you to know that I am doing this under duress and seriously, you can pick anyone else so why me?”
“Well hello to you Sweetheart.”
“Don’t Sweetheart me Blue Eyes. Your work people suck.”
Stiles thought he overheard the other man sit due to the crackling leather sound that was probably his easy chair. “They do, hence you’re perfect. You’ll be mildly entertaining and not merely annoying as most others I could possibly invite. And, I presumed I could I bribe you with a chocolate shake and curly fries at Maxine’s after.”
Oh, he loves Maxine’s but, “do you think I’m that easy? Butter me up and throw some junk food at me and I’ll swoon to Peter Hale and be your stupid fake date?”
There was an aggrieved sigh that came over from the other side. “Fine, I’ll throw in a double bacon cheeseburger too.”
And, shit. He was totally that easy and a sucker for greasy food

Matt raised his right hand and shook his head, quieting the guard. The last thing he needed was more sounds right now. He needed to listen. He was just off of 54th street, standing outside the Midtown Community Courthouse. He’d been there enough times that the security guards knew his name. He didn’t need assistance.

The things Peter tells him while he's drugged up and sad make his heart ache. And, eventually, change his entire life.

Looking down at Peter right now was like looking into a dirty hole in the ground and seeing this little puppy in there, messy and matted and malnourished and trapped, looking up at you with shame and exhaustion and pleading for you to save him.
A tear slipped down Peter's face and Stiles felt like he just got punched in the stomach. "Help me." That's all he said. Two simple words, and Stiles' entire world crumbled down around him, leaving only one thing left: this stubborn werewolf sitting in a disgusting bathroom in one of the sketchiest clubs in town, asking for his help.
