Summary
Cloud is just starting to settle into life with Genesis when he starts experiencing bouts of back pain. It's nothing, really, until it is.
It isn't until he's on his way home from a long haul delivery that the pain gets bad enough for him to take it seriously, but by then, it's much too late.
Cloud's back pain wasn't nothing. It was a sign of something much worse, something that changes everything he thought he knew about himself. He can never go back home, but he's a fool for thinking that Genesis would ever let him go.

The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.
Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

Summary
Cloud made a promise to Gaia, believing he would return to the past to stop Sephiroth from erasing Cloud’s existence. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned. It didn’t help that the Goddess elected to solve the issue of his continued existence through the use of Sephiroth’s cells. Couldn’t she have made him a bit bigger at least?
When Sephiroth was called to an emergency in Hojo’s laboratory, he didn’t expect to find the Professor dead, nor was he expecting to walk out a father to a mysterious five-year-old boy. Nor was Shinra, for that matter. Nevertheless, he’ll adjust. He hopes.
Shinra’s SOLDIERs hadn’t expected to babysit Sephiroth’s new son, who may or may not be looking to commit patricide.
(AKA Gaia saw Sephiroth needing a family and yeeted Cloud at him like a son-shaped grenade.)

Summary
Cloud Strife is a man exiled. The last repository of J-cells on the planet and thus Sephiroth's anchor by which he crawls back into life, gravely harming the planet with each resurrection.
The planet, for all her love and thankfulness, cannot keep him. The price is too high, the pain too great.
So, she does the only thing she can think to do to turn his exile into a kindness: she sends him somewhere better. Another Gaia, another time. Perhaps there, her golden champion could find the love he deserves and fulfill the dreams he had to put behind him for the planet's sake.
He only needed to conquer the demons she had already burdened him with.
An ASGCZ Soulmate fic featuring Cloud, the traumatized, time-travelling, markless hero of an alternate planet and Cloud, the lovesick trooper who has to deal with his idealized self appearing from thin air.
