Summary
Since Thor saw the commercial for a new animated movie the other day he's been acting strange. The other Avengers are dragged to see How to Train Your Dragon and then to a whole different realm to protect the nephew none of them knew Thor had.
Hiccup is struggling now that he's lost the dragon's eye to Viggo. He has friends and a base to protect. Let alone the dragons. Yet he hasn't called in his greatest weapon, a secret one only he knows of. But as it turns out he doesn't need to. The Riders and Berkians team up with the Avengers to protect Hiccup from the threat of Viggo and beyond.

Summary
The ships don't leave with Toothless towards the Dragons' nest. Instead, Hiccup sneaks away with Toothless and leaves Berk behind. Everyone thinks they'd never see the boy and his dragon again until a threat washes out to the shores of Berk.
Basically, a story where I changed the ending of the movie and some of what happened before and then mixed it with bits from the series. Because I'm bored and it's something I want to have out there seeing as I would have read a fic about those characters (don't judge me)

When Hiccup stumbles on an object of his mother's, he realizes that it's a link to the past he's never known. Having enough of his mother's neglect, Hiccup leaves with Toothless to find who he is and ends up on Berk where they start anew and where he learns that everything his mother ever told him was a lie. Including that Berk was his home and his father is chief of the island.

Summary
The Night Fury isn't a dragon, but a curse. Hiccup finds this out in the worst way possible.
I saw a video about HTTYD recently and it sent me down a spiral of reading fanfic that gave me the idea for this. Full credit to the respective authors, I'm only taking a few pieces from their works and trying to build something of my own on top. Sadly, the basic premise of the canon divergence means Toothless can't exist.
Current plan is to try to cover the events of the first movie. I might keep going into the second one if my Inspiration holds out that long, but I'm definitely not doing the third. Also not touching anything to do with the Netflix shows, I haven't watched them and don't plan to. Might make an exception for any abilities Toothless gains in them, though.

After a brief moment, his eyes landed upon a tall, lanky figure leaning against the trunk of a tree and was hidden under the leaves covered in thick snow, he appeared to be holding some sort of Shepherd's staff. His anger waned, but kept his protective composure and extended the blade out. As Hiccup stared at the figure, the more familiarity he began to feel that he couldn't tell how or why.
"Geez, now he's just talking to no one."
"You do realize that I can hear and see you, right?" Hiccup retorted.
The figure snickered. "Yeah, right— wait, you can see me?!" He shouted at the end.
Years after seeing Jack plunge into his death after saving his sister, Hiccup thought he finally recovered, until Jack suddenly showed up in his life — as an immortal spirit who spread joy among the children every winter. Hiccup thought meeting his dead best friend was the craziest thing to happen to him until he found out about the new perilous threat looming from afar.

Astrid drops the mirror, and doesn’t even hear as it shatters on the ground at her feet.
“A hiccup.”__
Taking in a clutch of Nadder Natchings, the Riders expected dealing with an onslaught of stray spines, fire, and squwaks that kept them up through the night.
What they didn't expect, was for one little hatchling to remind them so strongly of their leader.
It all unravelled from there.
