Clark Kent pretends to be a skeptic, everyone believes him, but hides his true alien nature away from them all, opting rather to just be the partner of the 'weird guy in the basement'.

But giving all the power to Falcone would be just as bad as tearing it down and leaving a power vacuum to fill. A new power play and some underhanded plans from Falcone have put him in a tough spot and all of a sudden, a certain Daily Planet reporter has gotten a little too close.

It wasn’t a good year for Clark. He broke up with his girlfriend and Lex Luthor bought the Daily Planet, so he chose to move back to his parent’s house. Not that he was complaining about that last one. It was complicated, okay?
He felt like he had nothing left in Metropolis, but he didn’t feel like he had a place in Smallville, Kansas either. As always, his existence was lonely, so when he heard about a fair in town, he went, hoping to be cheered up.

Bruce was investigating a smuggling ring. There had been museum thefts recently, but his investigations as Batman had shed no light to the matter, so he chose to infiltrate a small carnival, which was, most likely, a stop of stolen objects on their way to the Pacific, all along an overly excited Dick Grayson, who missed the circus life.
