The way his voice came out, in the end, made him wince. The way it shook, his throat thick with tears that clogged his airways and made it hard to breathe for a moment. He sniffed hard and tasted blood in the back of his mouth that tainted his tongue and made him want to vomit.

Porsche promised he would be there for Chay’s 18th birthday no matter what and Chay made a mistake of actually getting his hopes high… just to be let down, harder than ever before.
