Summary
Wymack’s voice trails off, words stuttering to an abrupt stop. All heads turn, slowly following the path of Wymack’s gaze.
Andrew spots him almost immediately - hair as black as night, curls gentle and full atop his head. He’s got a bruise the size of a baseball around his eye, freckles spattered out around it like an explosion of stardust. His eyes are the colour of the sky, cresting with storm clouds.
His hands are in his pockets as he walks by, fisted around something. He doesn’t look at any of them as he passes, eyes downcast.
Andrew’s never seen him before.
“What the hell happened to your face, Neil?” Wymack shouts, voice startling in the aftermath of silence. Neil doesn’t stop, plundering by the team and their coach without a second-glance.

In which Wymack adopts Neil at the age of 13, after the world has already chewed him up and spit him back out a few times over.
The Foxes are still the Foxes, and Neil and Andrew are still destined to find each other.

For the first time in human history, the Heavens intervened in earthly matters to deliver a Divine Decree across the seven seas and seven continents that promised Nigh-Omnipotence for the last living Dragon and Divine Power to the human who controlled it.
The Divine Decree led to calamity for the Dragon species and after a century of Wars pushed the once-almighty creatures to near extinction, only one dragon remained: Nathan, Butcher of Life and Lord of the Skies. He belonged to the Moriyama Dynasty of the Karasu Empire and was under the control of Kengo Moriyama, allowing them to claim what the Heavens pledged.
Or so they would have if Nathan did not have a son hidden from the world.

For The Fox's crew, all that wasn't enough. They just had to add a mermaid into the mix.

“There is a this,” Andrew says, a direct contradiction to his words of the past five years, and Neil’s world shatters a little. Except, it doesn’t really. It feels more like something sliding into place, like a muscle that’s finally relaxed when you hadn’t even known it was tensed. It feels like being invited inside your own home.
“Yeah,” he says, because that’s all there is to it. Andrew finally seems to let go of an unseen tension, and he leans forward to press his forehead against Neil’s.
He puffs out a small breath that fans over Neil’s face and nods a little to himself. He repeats back lowly, “Yeah.”

Summary
Sometimes, Jimin thinks Fate is all a bunch of bullshit. It’s all just a bunch of numbers and invisible equations, right? Probability, the likelihood of chance. Bad bullets and empty canisters, and Jimin’s always been bad with numbers. Fate, with all of its ribbons and gravity and stardust, as predictable as percentages. Wouldn’t that be a twist?
But then there's Taehyung. Hoseok. Namjoon. Jeongguk. Seokjin. Yoongi. People who seem so made to be exactly what Jimin has been looking for, who fit whole in the places he's missing. For all the time he's spent with his kamikaze Kim Taehyung, it's the look on Yoongi’s face - like maybe once upon a time, he’d had his kingdom of cardboard and glass pulled down around him, too - that ties the knot in Jimin’s certainty.
"Doesn’t it feel like fate?" Namjoon had asked once, and Jimin looks at Yoongi and thinks, 'yeah, it does.'
