Azure was supposed to be dead.
Amarah’s orders were very clear. Two Time was to kill Azure with the ghostfire dagger, and the Spawn would bless them with the gift they were born to receive. The gift of a second life.
But they couldn't do it. Watching Azure tend to flowers as delicately as ever… they could never hurt him.
The two of them run away together. To the outside world that Two Time has been told is horrible and cruel and full of evil people.
I’m sorry I have failed you, Spawn. Please, forgive me.
Two Time can only hope they made the right choice.

Two Time couldn’t believe what they were hearing, the dagger laying in their palm like a wilted flower. Kill… Azure…? They looked up at Amarah who gazed down at them with an expecting look, their eyes shadowed and reminiscent of a serpent coiled around it’s prey.
“what are you waiting for, Two Time? Didn’t you say you’d do anything for the holy Spawn?”
“Yes! Yes, of course..”
“Good. The Spawn will be proud with your accomplishment, once the deed is done.” Amarah cooed, closing Two Time’s hand around the grip of the sacrificial dagger. With that, they turned and left, their robes swaying in the gentle wind. As Two Time watched them go, a growing sense of dread festered inside them and maybe even a dash of panic.
