Summary
Chris sniffled.
“I don’t want dad to have a girlfriend,” he huffed eventually.
Buck nodded. He could understand where the boy was coming from, perhaps thinking it felt too early for Eddie to start dating again, but his mother had been dead for a while, and Buck knew his friend was starting to get a little… pent up… a fact he only knew when he’d accidentally walked into the locker room during a 24 hour shift and found Eddie in the shower, moaning beneath the water.
“I understand buddy. It’s hard moving on, but I know this one will care about you like your dad does and will be there for you too-”
Chris cut Buck off with an angry huff.
“You don’t get it!” he seethed.
Buck had never really seen Chris angry with him, so this took him a bit off guard.
“Then help me understand?” Buck asked.
“I don’t want dad to have a girlfriend! I want him to marry you!”---
Or, Chris Diaz knows Eddie and Buck are in love with one another, in fact, everyone does except for the idiots themselves. Getting the two to admit it, however, is not an easy feat, at least, not until something happens that changes their lives forever. -

Buck thought he did the right thing. He thought silence was the price of being a good brother, a good friend.
He didn’t expect his body to remember the violence — or to start anticipating it everywhere. As Buck spirals quietly, flinching and bracing and waiting for the next blow, Eddie starts to notice. And once Eddie notices, he refuses to look away.
Or: the long road from silence, guilt, and learned fear to finally being held without flinching.

Summary
Buck has always carried more than he lets anyone see.
Grief and love and guilt that sits like weight behind the ribs.
He thought Eddie understood that.
He thought Eddie saw him.But losing Bobby, losing their rhythm, watching Eddie pull away — it all left Buck convinced he was just something Eddie had finally outgrown. So he stayed quiet. He stayed small. He carried it.
A day at the zoo with Christopher and Jee Yun cracks the shell he’s been wearing.
A bird seems to sense the hurt sitting on him like a second spine.
A goat literally knocks him on his ass.And then Eddie shows up at his door, limping, tired, and finally ready to talk.
Some things break.
Some things heal.
Some things were love the entire time — they just needed room to be spoken aloud.or, Two idiots finally realize they've been in love the whole damn time, it just took a bird and a goat to make them see it.

Summary
Of a few things Buck was certain. 1) something was trying to kill his family, again, and that was not ok. 2) the love of his life and his very best friend was still inside having no idea how Buck felt about him. 3) The last words Buck ever spoke to Eddie would not be insults thrown out in anger. So he mounted the steps again, and began searching every room. Any room that might hold the unconscious man in question.
----
Or; someone tries to kill the 118 A shift in one quick, silent, and deadly sweep. Luckily, Eddie and Buck had a fight the night before and they were both running late. Who knew empty pickle jars could be the catalyst they needed to finally express their feelings.

Summary
It hadn’t made the right sound.
Buck had always thought it’d be a SHINK, or maybe a SQUELCH. Either cutting and sharp, or imprecise and sloppy. But no. He’d been wrong. Very, very wrong.
It had been quick. Abrupt. Something muffled and blunt that no amount of movies or video games or his own imagination could ever prepare him for. Not for that. Not for the real thing.
THWACK.
It hadn’t made the right sound.

Buck kills someone to save Eddie on a call. He’s fine until he’s not.

Summary
He knows he could have called Maddie and she would have been there, though the memory of her disappointment last time stopped him. As for everyone else—even if he weren’t prohibited from talking to them by his lawyer, Buck doubts anyone would have come. The last time they talked was when they ran into each other in the grocery store a week back, and, since Buck is not eager for a repeat of that interaction, he doesn’t even consider calling anyone in to hold his hand for what is, he tells himself, probably just another little blip on his road back to the 118.
He is able to convince himself of this up until the moment Dr. Gutierrez walks into his room and says, “Well, Evan, you just can’t seem to do anything the easy way, can you?”
Because, as it turns out, there is a circumstance under which a tiny clot that doesn’t cause you to vomit blood in front of all of your friends and family is worse than three big ones that do: that circumstance is called ‘being on blood thinners.’

In the midst of the lawsuit, Buck is diagnosed with cancer. Dropping the lawsuit is easy. Finding forgiveness, less so.Series

Summary
Set immediately post season 1. The team has taken down the corrupt CEO of Nate's old insurance company and they've paid a heavy price, sacrificing their headquarters in the process. Deciding to take some time apart seems like a good idea, at least until they are sure that the heat on them is gone. Everyone turns and board a separate plane on the airstrip in LA, except Eliot. He climbed on a motorcycle and rode off into the sunset. Or did he?
Weeks later in a small town in South Dakota, he stumbles upon someone who needs help, and even though he doesn't have a team to call for back up right now, the last words Nate said to them won't stop echoing in his brain. "We made a difference." How is a newly reformed Hitter with a slowly regrowing soul supposed to turn away a hysterical woman in the parking lot of a dive bar? Especially when he figures out that the Mafia is after her?

Summary
20 years ago the seas became angry. Unruly and unkind to any sailor, to any ship that dared venture too far out in her waters. Many a man has heard the tales of Atlantis, the lost city, the key the ocean. But fewer men know the tale of it’s missing child. The key to the ocean, the key to Atlantis but a lost little one. The power one would hold should they find this child would be nearly that of Poseidon himself. Thus, the hunt began.
