Summary
The Sokovia Accords did more to affect vigilantes, the enhanced and mutants than the average person would think, but they're all stubborn people. When they're told to stop being who they are - quite literally, in some cases - they join arms and spit in the faces of their opposition.

Set in a post-Civil War AU, Bucky returns to the states after spending a few months in Wakanda. None of the Avengers went on the run, having been given the choice to go under house arrest or be confined to the newly minted Avengers compound, serving out missions as seen fit. The Sokovia Accords have been amended, giving the Avengers more freedom to protect the planet-- and universe-- that they call home.

Summary
Steve feels Bucky is not at fault, but would an American court of law agree? My first draft was to see for myself if I was falling in love with a bad guy!
Because this is also an examination of the facts as seen in the movies, some witnesses give more than the shortest truthful answer, and scenes crucial to the trial were filmed and thus available for playback at the trial.
I’m not a lawyer and have surely gotten details wrong, but that’s okay, President Ellis isn’t an American president either, so Marvel is already an AU. :-)
