The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

“Two.” She’s smiling, now, and with the adrenaline beginning to fade Percy feels he can too.
“Three - oh, sweetie, you’re still damp.” Her face becomes something heartbreaking at the realization.
“Four - and five.” He hands her the last one, hand trembling almost as much as it is.
Five kittens. All squirming, to some degree or another - none still, at least. Two at least are whimpering, doing their best to knead at the nearest soft thing. Another is pushed over by its siblings and wails. Percy slowly tips it back upright.--
When the stray Percy had been feeding surprises him with a litter dumped in his workshop, there's really only one person he thinks to turn to for help.

“Hm,” Wilbur hums, daring a look upwards into Quackity’s unforgiving eyes. “Sounds like more of your problem than mine.”
His growing boldness is abruptly kicked all the way back to square one as Quackity, for the first time since their, ahem, last meeting, touches him, fingers grazing over his chest before clamping into a fist in his shirt.
“Oh, I’ll make it your fucking problem, Soot.”-
or, wilbur needs punishing. quackity’s just the man for the job.

Schlatt rolls his eyes. “I was. I’m back now…and you’re stealing from me again,” Schlatt says.
Wilbur tilts his head grinning. “Oh, come off it! You have lots of webs! This is sharing!”
“I expect you to pay, Wilbur,” Schlatt says darkly. “And you will. Or you’ll be in my debt, and once you’re in my debt…” Schlatt purrs. “I decide your payment.”
