Chad has to move with purpose, quickly with the little bit of opening he has. He uses his whole body to close in. Robert’s spine connects with a dull thump as Chad crowds and surrounds him. One little push is all it takes to set Robert off.

It painted a picture that Robert could vaguely recognize. He wracked his brain for where he’d seen him before, his thoughts still lagging behind him considerably. Finally, an answer came in the hazy memory of a newspaper clipping framed in his childhood home.
The answer was a jinx. A confirmation of the worst case scenario.

“Grandpa?”

When a strange rip in spacetime opens up on top of Flambae and sends him hurtling back through time to land in the past smack dab in the middle of his fight against Mecha Man in the burning mall, he understandably panics. But after he manages to escape the fight with his fingers still attached and no handcuffs around his wrists, he realizes that he's somehow managed to change the past, not just re-live it. How is that possible?
Hmmm. And what else can he change?
Realizing that he's stuck here now in this new timeline, Flambae resolves to use his knowledge of the future to make things better for himself, his friends, and his family. He's going to do things right this time around. He's going to be a real hero. He's going to help.

B.Y.H.B, ‘Be Your Heroic Best’ had been explained to Robert, by Blazer of course, as a convention led by retired heroes, and heroes in their prime, with the sole purpose of teaching what they’ve learned in the field to better educate the upcoming, heroic youth. It was a two day event, Saturday and Sunday, and the SDN was willing to pay, round trip, for someone from the Phoenix Program to attend — with a chaperone of course.
When Robert had volunteered to do so with a member of the Z-Team, he hadn’t really thought the entire process through. Or, at least, he hadn’t thought far enough ahead to consider the reality he was currently experiencing: a reality in which he shared a weekend with a raging fireball who vividly hated his guts.Or:

Chad pats his head. “Is there like a button for your pep talks? Because that started off great, but then you stopped talking about me and then the quality dropped.” He sighs, propping his chin on the tuft of brown hair.
“Unfortunately for you, that is not my thing. I’m running out of English. Any chance you could try to turn that shit on to yourself?”
Robert laughs a bit, and it’s a little wet at the edges. He burrows further into Chad’s warmth.
“Just… just stay. That’s all I need.” Robert says.
Chad exhales through his nose. “You keep asking me to stay, but I haven’t gone anywhere, Bob-Bob.” He presses a kiss into Robert’s hair.
Robert and Chad decide to take the next logical step in their relationship: meeting the family. Unfortunately, Robert has issues with wanting things, and Chad has issues with Chase because Chase has issues with him and has most likely been plotting his death ever since he found out Chad’s the one Robert’s dating.
Wait. Shit. Weren't they supposed to be moving in together?

Half in a trance, he clicked through the website, following the web of links that led him to a booking page. That Saturday afternoon had one open slot.
Robert hesitated a moment before selecting a time frame for the maximum length. It wasn’t like he was really going to follow through with it, he was just curious, nothing more. But the temptation of a certified masseuse, ex-convict or not, skillfully kneading his muscles into submission made him feel lightheaded in the best way possible.
Fuck it.
He tapped the tastefully designed ‘Confirm Selection?’ button without thinking.”
