Summary
Agni has stood by as his children have used their gifts to burn the world, consumed with despair but reluctant to interfere. Summary
Hiccup, son of the King of the Wilderwest, is struggling to accomplish the bare minimum of his status. That is, to receive a blessing from the gods, learn to control it's power, and join in the hunt against the cannibalistic draugr that prowl the archipelago. He intends to do just that, until his latest attempt ends with him being possessed by an mysterious, unknowable entity.
As Hiccup tries to hide his affliction, outside forces invade the Council of Chieftains, political ties are made and broken, and dark tidings come from the Mainland. To make matters worse, a mysterious spiritual energy is reducing Hiccup's peers to the foul forms they hunt in the night, and no one seems to agree on what to do about it.
If they are to stop the suffering, Hiccup and his strange new companion must find common ground, before all falls into chaos.

Summary
Bren wakes up in a dank Cell in Vergesson, the fading touch of his cell-mate on his temple and a scream of grief and denial on his lips. He seeks to flee this place of nightmares, to right the wrongs he had done, to erase the monstrosity he had committed. It’s a pipe dream, a fevered wish, but it's all he has left. On his way out, he kills a man who is more of a monster than he ever was, and steals something as important as his returning humanity- a Fairy.
Fairies are beings said to be of pure Arcana, full of potential. Their wings shed a powder used to enhance a spell beyond the caster's ability. The creatures themselves are used as an Arcane Focus to negate use of material components and enhance spells focused through them.
They are beautiful creatures, surprisingly humanoid, elf-like, and considered as intelligent as the average house-pet. Bren had seen these before, had worked with them in the past.
So why, the longer he spends time with this Fairy, does he feel like this was another matter in which he'd been lied to? Why does he feel that this Fairy is- more, much more than it seems?Usually updates weekly, Saturday/Sunday but no guarantees. Hectic Schedule.
