    Summary

Exiled to the VeeTek R&D division and hidden away from the public after his disastrous breakdown, Vox finds a device that lets him see Alastor's thoughts. When he realizes that the radio demon really is in love with him, he decides to try and get Alastor to act on his feelings one last time- especially because Alastor might destroy much more than himself if he can't confront the truth.

Seeing Alastor's memories play out in front of him forces Vox to think about his own, but can he learn from his past mistakes? Or will another attempt at winning Alastor over cost Vox what little he has left?

This story handles the mental illnesses that characters show in the show with a lot of professional maturity. Ive never felt more in the mind of a bipolar person, than reading about Vox naturally flipping from crazed mania to desperate depression. It’s a fascinating bit of writing that breathes the story to life. We also get glimpses of Alastor’s own messed up mental and that’s another can of worms… but besides these walking disasters’ individual problems, we also have their relationship issues! With each other and the people around them! Mostly Vox though.

Best interpretation I’ve seen of how the Vees could handle the fallout of the S2 finale. It’s messy. With a lot of backflashes to humanise the characters and explain how they met/who they are to each other (something the show DESPERATELY needs).
The emotions can drag sometimes (staying inside the mind of an on/off suicidal individual isn’t exactly conducive to help raise your spirits) and the professional angle does mean, that treatments are very “by the book” in terms of how to adjust to mental health issues. This is helpful for any readers who might recognise themselves in these characters, but sometimes denies the option of a more emotionally satisfying solution. If you’re looking for only drama, no right decisions, you’ve come to the wrong place. Charlie here is actually decently competent at therapy and she’s going to help these idiots figure out their problems or so help her god.

Clear recommendation! The mix of adventure-esque story telling and classic textbook counselling makes for a lived informative story that’s great at tackling difficult topics including but not limited to: internalised homophobia, Bipolar Disorder, Depression and Toxic Relationships!
What’s best though is that all the major characters are trying, no matter how good or bad they are at that. Which I find immensely comforting. Give it a read!

Megatron and Optimus were side-by-side once more as the Matrix of Leadership tamed Unicron’s wrath, and they are now side-by-side again in the Autobot Base, both with a nasty case of amnesia.

Beautiful world building. Love this take on the relationship between Primus and the Quintessons and the resulting structure of Cybertron and the origin of the Transformer race. It’s nice and immersive, all neatly wrapped up and told through the growing post-movie relationships (especially Star and OP) and I really enjoyed it :)

What if: Starscream was an Autobot spy all along?

Yeah these stories operate on that assumption and it is *glorious*. I love the idea and the execution, I think the characters are decently in-character and for all that it should be CTS it all feels very serious. You feel the stakes, the crushing weight of being the spy in the enemy’s den and then dealing with the fallout later… also the takes on the relationships are really good. Soundwave warmed my heart and Skyfire broke it again and… it feels very messy, emotional and human. I enjoyed it.

    Give it a read!

“You just… have to work your snake charm on the nobles. Help us out. If they find anything, and they will, we’re like sitting ducks. Ready for hunt, nothing more, nothing else. If you can… If you just manage… So at least Essempi doesn’t fucking murder us in our sleep.”

Wilbur choked on his own breath. Impossible. It was impossible, he couldn’t mean that Soot, that Empire, that Essempi-!

“If they don’t take you, I don’t know how we will avoid full out war. You said it yourself, for fucks sake!”

    Wilbur sobbed.

“I died. I think I died,” he breathed.

Probably the best Isekai story in the entire fandom. Wilbur centric fanfic where Wilbur “Ash” trades places with one Wilbur “Soot”, who happens to be a Duke in a Minecraft-medieval (I mean red stone isn’t really advanced technology right? It works with magic here) L’Manberg… and who’s also taken as a political prisoner by the Royal family of the Antarctic Empire.

I really enjoyed the characterisation of the main cast. Wilbur is such a bundle of nerves while giving the aloof and condescending Duke Soot… and hmmmm~ it’s just really good. Character interactions are just as exquisite! If you like banter with fancy words and love to watch a guy literally wing his entire act and somehow be good at it, you’ve come to the right place. The humour is good btw. The jokes landed for me and it gives a nice bit of comedic relief to Wilbur’s more or less constant distress.

Another thing to note: This story has such a cool concept regarding Elytrians… Origins SMP fans this is your story!
    Give it a read! :D
