“My powers,” he echoed. “I never told you whether or not I had powers.”
“I can… sense them,” Icarus bullshitted. Tommy pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Right. What are they, then,” he retorted.
“Uh… super… powers,” the villain answered, sounding more unsure of himself by the second.
Tommy wanted to bash his head against a wall. “Really? That’s the best you could do?”

They wait in an uncomfortable silence for a few moments, Mr. Harrington checking his watch every couple of seconds. The room is sparsely decorated, save for the circle of folding chairs. Beige paint peels off the walls and a clock by the doorway loudly announces each passing second with a resounding tick.
As Peter begins to grow impatient, a familiar face enters the room, his face painted with apologies, but before he can open his mouth to say any of them, Flash blurts out: “You’re The Falcon.”
The man, Sam Wilson, as Peter mentally fills in for himself, smiles indulgently and nods. “Yes, hello, my name is Sam Wilson, but you may know me as The Falcon. I’ll be conducting your group therapy session today.”

“This is you, isn’t it?” Tony held it out. Peter reached out, his hands shaking as he took it from him.
It was the picture they took at Stark Industries. They needed proof for May that he was working as an intern there, so Tony had a certificate made. It was Peter’s idea to give each other bunny ears, but Tony was the one who held the certificate upside-down. They’d barely known each other then, but they’d both laughed when they realized his mistake.
A couple of tears ran down his cheeks as Peter gripped the frame. “Yeah,” he choked out. “That’s— That’s me.”
Peter knew Tony had the photo. He kept it in his lab. Once the spell was set and done, he figured Tony would’ve thrown it out. Why would he hang onto a picture of someone he didn’t recognize?
Peter never told him, but knowing it was there made him feel so important. He should’ve told him.
“You’ve shivering,” Tony commented, just like Pepper had. His anger had turned into a shade of worry and concern. With a small shake of his head, he moved out of the way. “Get in here.”

“Ghostbur?” Tommy whined, catching the desperation in his voice a little too late. But something rang in his head that told him he was wrong. That wasn’t the soft tone of Ghostbur.
“Ghostbur? Ugh, Tommy,” The familiar man gave a deep sigh, reminding Tommy far too much of his buddy Dream and causing him to flinch just the slightest. “Look man, you gotta stop with the nicknames. For the last time, I’m a phantom, not a fucking ghost. I’m not dead.” He groaned, rubbing his head before speaking in a quiet mocking tone. “It’s always Wilby this, and Ghostbur that. No, mate. Just Wil. Now stop with your clobbering because my head is killing me more than the fucking sunlight.”
“Not…dead?” Tommy considered this. Wilbur didn’t look dead, despite the ever present fact that Tommy could see through his abdomen. “What is this, some fucking nightmare?”
