Summary
After an exhausting day Thomas goes to his favorite place - a forgotten gazebo in the royal garden. But then someone accidentally finds it too.
Prince Alastair doesn't expect that he wouldn't be recognized in the dark. But this gives him an opportunity to talk with someone else without being treated like a royal.
Night after night they meet at the gazebo, unable to see the face of the other but inevitably falling for each other.

Grace couldn’t relax. She was feeling like her insides were twisting in her stomach.
“Are you nervous?” Christopher whispered.
Yes. “No,” she said.
“I am,” Christopher admitted. “We put a lot of work into it. I want people to like it.”
Grace’s first instinct was to snap that most people don’t care about chemistry and he shouldn’t set his hopes high. But he probably knew it perfectly well. And she didn’t want to be mean. To him at least.
She gave him a small smile instead. “If they don’t like it, that’s on them. We did our best.”
Christopher smiled. Grace liked it.

On a cold night, so cold that the blood is freezing in your veins, so cold even the heart shivers, two figures meet in the dark. One with pitch-dark hair. Another with golden curls. Both have a tattoo on their forearm… but different ones. Ones that marked them for the whole world to see. An angel and a demon.
They share a kiss. Kiss sweet as a Halloween candy and wild as a forest fire. Honey and tenderness collected in one stolen moment. So fragile they were afraid the wind would break it. They dared to want more. To touch skin, to whisper to each other impossible promises and hope they will meet again on the next cold night.
And then it was gone.
This tender second was broken by the wind, stolen by the sky. The angel disappeared into the sun, the demon vanished into the darkness. They were nothing more than a ghost and a shadow now.
