Summary
“Oh,” he hears, as he settles with a careful clatter of his heeled feet onto the stone wall of the balcony, and it surprises him enough that he stumbles, falling over.
Atsumu prepares himself for his magic to catch him, for his wings to flutter and work as they prevent him from falling, but they never get the chance to.
Something warm wraps around him and pulls, and suddenly he’s no longer tilted, no longer falling.
Atsumu opens his eyes.
“I suppose I didn’t need to save you,” murmurs the masked dragon, a riot of curls erupting from his scalp, dark oil slick of a mask across his eyes, “since you have those wings.”
On Atsumu’s last night of freedom, at a masquerade ball thrown in his honor, he meets the love of his life.
In the morning, on his wedding day, he’ll meet his husband for the first time.
(Or so he thinks.)

Atsumu smiled, wrapping an arm around Kiyoomi’s shoulders and pulling him closer. “Ya don’t feel like throwin’ up or kickin’ me in the face, do ya?”
“I’ve never kicked anyone in the face.”
“Ya’ve thought about it.”
“I’m thinking about it right now.”
Atsumu chuckled, rubbing slow circles into Kiyoomi’s shoulder.
“You don’t make me anxeous…surprisingly,” Kiyoomi muttered after a pause.
Atsumu grinned. “That supposed to be a compliment?”
“Take it however you want.”
“Oh, I’m takin’ it as a huge one.”

But before Kiyoomi could grab the potion off the table, Atsumu was faster. "How does it work?" he asked Motoya, and Kiyoomi wanted to kill his cousin.The brown-haired man lit up. "So, you drink it and look at the person you want to fall in love with. Don’t worry, it only lasts 24 hours, then it wears off again. At least that’s what the old lady with the missing tooth said."

“I see you,” Wriothesley said, without hesitation.
“I don’t know what to do with that.”
“You don’t have to do anything. Just let it happen.”
Or, Neuvillette never expected to find warmth in the heart of the Fortress of Meropide. He especially didn't expect to find it in Wriothesley.

“A dragon’s treasure must be presented as an offering to proceed,” chimes the little Secret Source Servant hovering next to them.
Aether’s face twists into displeasure, glancing around the courtyard.
“Paimon still can’t see anything that looks like treasure,” she complains, flitting around the area.
It’s true, nothing stands out, even to Childe’s eyes. With a hum, he crosses his arms over his chest and thinks, considering the glimmering seal over the door looming before them. There are glowing lines of phlogiston running beneath the door and around its circumference. At the side of the door where the locking mechanism sits, there is what appears to be a small stone altar of sorts, raised up from the ground and surrounded in the same golden light as the door’s seal. Presumably, this is where the offering is supposed to be placed.
“What’s even in this Temple of the Coveted?” Childe inquires.
